What we do

dates-n-mates is an accessible membership based dating, friendship and networking agency run by and for people with learning disabilities/difficulties.

dates-n-mates offers members:

Matched one to one dates, with support available on the first date
Dating events to suit people of all different ages
A calendar of varied social events you can attend
Information on other activities, organisations and things that might be of interest

Who can Join?

To become a member, you need to:

Be 18 years old or over
Have a learning disability/difficulty
Be willing to pay our membership subscription

What sort of events will dates-n-mates organise?

Events include:

Music, theatre and cultural events
Sports and leisure activities
Picnics, barbecues and eating out
Club nights/outings
A chance to try out new things

You can join if you would like to get a date, or if you would just like to meet new and old friends, or both.

dates-n-mates organises social events mainly in the West of Scotland, though you can join and become a member wherever you live. As a member, you will be invited to all events - some events cost money, whilst others are free.

dates-n-mates do not provide transport, though we will try and provide support and advice to help people to get to and from events.
